Hi, I’m Eric Palmer, and I’m thrilled you’re here. Let me share a bit about my journey in photography.

My Passion for Photography

My love for photography began in high school when I first picked up a camera. From that moment, I knew this was my calling. A quote from Diane Arbus inspires me daily: “I truly believe there are things in this world no one would see unless I photographed them.” The first time I stepped into a darkroom and watched an image appear from the chemicals, I was captivated by the magic of photography.

Professional Journey

My professional career started early. In 1990, while still a junior in high school, I landed my first job with Hyster Lift Company. I was tasked with photographing the Pacific Northwest at work, which solidified my passion and career choice.

I pursued my education at The Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a BFA in Photography in 1995. Growing up in Portland, OR, and studying in Savannah broadened my horizons and enriched my artistic perspective.

Personal Life and Adventures

In 2000, I married the love of my life. We have three exceptional children who keep us on our toes. My wife Alison, a Flight Attendant with Alaska Airlines, allows us to explore the world together.

Based in White Salmon, WA

Our home is the beautiful town of White Salmon, WA, USA. However, I’m always ready to travel for photography projects, capturing unique moments and stunning landscapes wherever possible.
